The newest addition to our project, we have been fortunate to bring over 100 chickens to one of our partner homes. With plans to bring hundreds more to even more homes, keep checking back to keep up to date with our progress.

What came first? The Chicken or the Egg?

The truth is it does not really matter, the egg and the chicken are both important. They provide nutritious food for a hungry kids. Being that they are easy to breed our homes chickens can grow and multiply to create income, share with neighbors, and ultimately make a better life for the whole home. The homes can take the chickens can sell the offspring for extra income. Chicks require little money, space, or food to thrive and grow — making them an ideal for our children's homes.

So, what about Cows?

This part of the project is still a dream, but ideally NAFANourishes would like to have at least 2 cows in place by the end of 2018. Nepal, a Hindu nation, views cows as sacred, meaning they do not eat cow meat. However, cows can provide a children's home with more then just meat, female cows produce milk! And milk is full of protein and protein is very important for growing kids.
